This painting began with a daydream on a deliriously hot summer day….
While imagining life beneath the waves. I started wondering what sea creatures might think as they peek above the surface and watch people relaxing at tropical beach resorts - lounging under colorful umbrellas beside sparkling pools, looking happy and carefree.
Then I imagined one curious little seahorse spotting a pineapple cocktail sitting right at the water's edge. Naturally, he assumed one of those mysterious land creatures had thoughtfully constructed him his very own holiday vacation pool -complete with a colorful umbrella and all - and happily hopped in!
